Ashiya was a firm supernatural non-believer until he spent the first seven days of high school stuck in the infirmary because of a demon attaching himself to him. Desperate for a solution, he asks the owner of a small tea room called the “Mononokean” for help. A series of mysterious stories involving the very morose owner of Mononokean guiding demons that wander into this world go to the next.
